10 Things About Me

Michael Durso, Principal

Springbrook High School 1996-2009

1. I am a native Washingtonian, growing up in Northwest DC ( Brightwood )

2. Most of my education career was also in DC ( 24 years )

3. I started as a teacher in DC, teaching History and Geography.

4. Our 4 children are MCPS grads ( 2 @ Kennedy and 2 @ Einstein )

5. In my 44-year career, 13 were ( as Principal ) at Springbrook.

6. I was a High School Principal for 32 of those 44 years

7. In my last year, Boys Basketball was undefeated State Champions ( 2008-2009 )

8. At one point, about 20 staff members had children enrolled @ Springbrook.

9. After Springbrook, I served for 10 years on the Board of Education ( an elected position )

10. With Springbrook's current programs and diversity, I would've loved to go to HS @ SHS.
